The Brazilian agtech Solinftec, since its foundation by Cuban entrepreneurs in the city of Araçatuba, in São Paulo, has stood out in the agricultural scene for its technological boldness and its ability to attract investments. However, the company now takes an even more ambitious step, showing its determination to lead the digital revolution in the agricultural sector.
The company will invest $5 million to build a new plant in the United States, seeking to expand its market presence and take advantage of growth opportunities. The construction of the plant in the United States represents an important strategic step for the company, strengthening its production capacity and meeting the demands of the American market.
"We said we could not deliver 300 units, but with the construction of the factory we intend to produce 100 robots in 2024 and a total of 500 the following year. Making an IPO is in the plans, but for now we are holding back," says CEO Britaldo Hernandez, in an interview with AgFeed at the company's booth at Agrishow.
In order to meet the growing demand for Solix-branded robots, capable of acting in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) digitally and autonomously, the company is investing in a new plant in the United States. Smaller-scale production has already resulted in the delivery of 18 units to U.S. farmers, but demand is much higher, with about 300 U.S. farmers waiting on the waiting list to purchase the equipment. The plant will expand production capacity and allow it to more efficiently meet the needs of the agricultural market.
