90% of soybeans are between bad and median in Argentina

Currently, 56% of crops continue to be evaluated as median, as in the last week and 34% as regular/bad, maintaining the value of the previous week, the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange (BCBA) said on Thursday, May 26. The entity also reported that the harvest in excellent/good condition remained at 10% as in the previous week.
According to agresource Brazil Consulting, the oilseed crop is lagging behind, having advanced 12.2 percentage points in the week and reached 89.9% of the harvested country area. The number was below the average of the last five years, which is 90.8%, and below 91.4% last year.
"The areas of soybeans with excess moisture are 1%, as in the last week. About 73% of the areas have water condition evaluated as optimal /adequate, compared to 75% in the previous week and 26% as regular/dry, compared to 24% in the previous week", complements the subsidiary of the U.S. company AgResource Company.
CORN WORST
In corn, the national harvest advanced 2.7 percentage points in the week and reached 30.1% of the country, bcba said in its report. The number is below the same period last year, when it reached 30.9%, and below the average of the last five years, of 38.2%. The works of cereal sowed earlier amounts to 59% of the area.
"The condition of the harvest in excellent/good condition is 16%, compared to 17% the previous week. About 60% of corn is evaluated as normal and 24% as regular/bad. On the water condition, the excess areas are 1%, compared to 0% in the previous week. The areas evaluated with optimal/adequate water condition, is about 70%, compared to 73% in the last week. About 29% of the crop has regular/dry conditions, compared to 27% the previous week," agresource analysts conclude.
